Description

Delightful quesadillas filled with caramelized apples and cinnamon, ideal for a warm breakfast experience.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large flour tortillas
  • 2 cups chopped apples
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • Maple syrup (for drizzling, optional)

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat until bubbly.
  2. Add the chopped apples and cinnamon, sautéing for 5-7 minutes until softened.
  3. Place one tortilla in the skillet, sprinkle half the cheese on one side, top with apples, and add the remaining cheese.
  4. Fold the tortilla over and cook until golden brown on one side, about 2-3 minutes, then flip and repeat.
  5. Remove from skillet, slice into wedges, and drizzle with maple syrup if desired.

Notes

Use ripe but firm apples to avoid mushiness; do not rush the browning process.
