Description
A delightful blend of creamy ice cream and the classic flavors of apple pie, capturing nostalgia in each scoop.
Ingredients
Scale
- 3 large slices leftover apple pie (about 13 oz. total)
- 1 1/4 cups heavy cream
- 2/3 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 1 tsp. apple pie spice mix
- 2 Tbsp. caramel sauce
Instructions
- Chill a large bowl and a 9″ x 5″ loaf pan for at least 30 minutes.
- Separate the apple filling and pie crust from the leftover apple pie, coarsely chopping each and keeping them in distinct bowls.
- In the chilled bowl, whip the heavy cream, sweetened condensed milk, and apple pie spice until soft peaks form, about 6-7 minutes.
- Gently fold in one-third of the chopped apple pie filling. Beat for another minute if the mixture seems to deflate.
- Spread half of the whipped mixture in the chilled loaf pan, drizzling with 1 tablespoon of caramel sauce and swirling it in.
- Layer the remaining apple pie filling on top, followed by the remaining cream mixture and another drizzle of caramel. Sprinkle chopped pie crust on top.
- Cover with plastic wrap and freeze for at least 6 hours or up to 2 weeks.
Notes
For healthier options, consider low-sugar variants or dairy-free substitutions using coconut or cashew cream.
