- ¾ cup cherry syrup
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream
- ¼ cup powdered sugar

- ¼ cup chopped walnuts or hazelnuts
Instructions
- Cut chocolate cake into bite-sized cubes and set aside.
- Prepare cherries and reserve syrup, washing and pitting fresh cherries or draining canned cherries.
- In a mixing bowl, whip heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
- Layer chocolate cake cubes in a large serving bowl or individual glasses.
- Generously drizzle the reserved cherry syrup over the cake cubes.
- Spread a layer of cherries over the syrupy cake, followed by a generous dollop of whipped cream.
- Continue layering with cake cubes, cherry syrup, cherries, and whipped cream until the bowl is full, finishing with whipped cream.
- Top the final layer of whipped cream with dark chocolate shavings and chopped nuts.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least two hours, or overnight for best results.
