Description

Ingredients

  • 1 and 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed light or dark brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 2 cups old-fashioned whole rolled oats
  • 1 and 1/2 cups mini M&Ms
  • 1 and 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Whisk the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt together in a medium bowl; set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, beat the butter until smooth, then add the granulated sugar and brown sugar, creaming until fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs, peanut butter, and vanilla; beat until combined.
  4. Mix in the dry ingredients and oats until just combined.
  5. Cover and chill the dough in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
  6. Preheat the oven to 350°F (177°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  7. Scoop large mounds of dough (about 65g each) onto the baking sheets.
  8. Bake for 14-16 minutes or until the edges are set and lightly browned.
  9. Cool on the baking sheet for 10 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.

Notes

Cookies stay fresh covered at room temperature for up to 1 week. For longer storage, consider freezing portions of dough.
