Description

Deliciously crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, these tuna cakes blend Asian flavors for a unique culinary experience.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can high-quality tuna
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon freshly grated ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Oil (for frying)
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • Sriracha, to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the canned tuna, chopped green onions, breadcrumbs, egg, soy sauce, grated ginger, minced garlic, sesame oil, salt, and pepper.
  2. Form the mixture into small patties.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, pour in enough oil to coat the bottom.
  4. Gently place the patties in the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  5. In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise and sriracha to taste for the spicy mayo.
  6. Serve the tuna cakes warm with the spicy mayo.

Notes

Taste the raw mixture to adjust seasonings if necessary. Avoid overcrowding the skillet while frying.
