- 1 can high-quality tuna
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon freshly grated ginger
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Oil (for frying)
- ¼ cup mayonnaise
- Sriracha, to taste
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the canned tuna, chopped green onions, breadcrumbs, egg, soy sauce, grated ginger, minced garlic, sesame oil, salt, and pepper.
- Form the mixture into small patties.
- In a skillet over medium heat, pour in enough oil to coat the bottom.
- Gently place the patties in the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise and sriracha to taste for the spicy mayo.
- Serve the tuna cakes warm with the spicy mayo.
Notes
Taste the raw mixture to adjust seasonings if necessary. Avoid overcrowding the skillet while frying.
