Delightful Boo-Berry Pies with a sweet and tangy blueberry filling encapsulated in flaky pastry, perfect for Halloween celebrations.
Ingredients

- 1/4 cup blueberry jam
- 1 tsp. fresh lemon juice
- 1/4 tsp. kosher salt
- All-purpose flour, for dusting
- 1 (14-oz.) pkg. pie dough
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup confectioners’ sugar
- 1 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice (for icing)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a small bowl, mix together the blueberry jam, lemon juice, and salt until smooth.
- On a floured surface, roll out the pie dough. Use a ghost-shaped cookie cutter to create 12 ghost figures.
- Cut out 2 eyes and a mouth on half of the ghost shapes.
- Add 2 tsp of the jam mixture onto the center of the solid ghost shapes. Brush the edges with egg wash.
- Place the cut-out ghost shapes on top and crimp edges with a fork. Brush the tops with more egg wash.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown and let cool.
- Mix confectioners’ sugar with lemon juice and water for icing; spread over the cooled pies.
Notes
Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for an extra treat. Ensure to not overbake to maintain a flaky crust.
