Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 fresh oysters
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Lemon wedges for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven’s broiler to high (500°F or 260°C) and line a baking sheet with aluminum foil.
  2. Shuck the oysters carefully, discarding broken shells and saving the bottom halves.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine softened butter, minced garlic, grated Parmesan cheese, and paprika until well-combined.
  4. Place shucked oysters on the prepared baking sheet and generously spoon the butter and cheese mixture over each.
  5. Broil for 5 to 7 minutes until the topping is bubbly and golden brown.
  6. Remove from the oven and squeeze fresh lemon juice over each oyster before serving.

Notes

For the perfect Broiled Oysters, choose fresh oysters, consider adding chopped herbs or breadcrumbs, and serve hot for best flavor.
