Description
A decadent blend of chocolate and bread, this Brownie Bread is a warm, gooey loaf perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup hot fudge sauce
- 1/4 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt until combined. Set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter and sugar. Stir in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Add the vanilla extract and mix until smooth.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring just until combined. Be careful not to overmix.
- Gently fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips and hot fudge sauce. If using walnuts, add them now.
- Transfer the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread it evenly.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Allow the brownie bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Once cooled, slice into thick pieces and serve warm, optionally drizzled with hot fudge or with a scoop of ice cream.
