Description

A delightful square of Caramel Apple Bark featuring dark chocolate, Granny Smith apples, and gooey caramel, perfect for satisfying sweet cravings.


Ingredients

  • 1 tsp. kosher salt
  • 1 Granny Smith apple, peeled, cored, and finely chopped
  • 1 1/2 cups mini pretzels, divided
  • 2 cups dark chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup store-bought or homemade caramel sauce
  • Flaky sea salt (optional for topping)

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, mix 1 tsp. of kosher salt with 1 cup of water.
  2. Add the finely chopped Granny Smith apple to the salted water and let it sit for 5 to 10 minutes.
  3. Strain the apples through a fine-mesh sieve and rinse them under cold water.
  4. Crush 1 cup of mini pretzels in a resealable plastic bag until fine crumbs form.
  5. Spread the crushed pretzel crumbs in an even layer on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  6. Microwave the dark chocolate chips in 30-second increments until melted and smooth.
  7. Spread the melted chocolate over the crushed pretzels, covering them entirely.
  8. Top with the remaining whole pretzels and finely chopped apples.
  9. Microwave the caramel sauce until drizzling consistency and drizzle over the bark.
  10. Sprinkle with flaky sea salt if desired.
  11. Refrigerate until set, at least 20 minutes.

Notes

Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days at room temperature, or in the fridge for up to a week. Can be frozen for longer storage.
