A delightful square of Caramel Apple Bark featuring dark chocolate, Granny Smith apples, and gooey caramel, perfect for satisfying sweet cravings.

- 1 tsp. kosher salt
- 1 Granny Smith apple, peeled, cored, and finely chopped
- 1 1/2 cups mini pretzels, divided
- 2 cups dark chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup store-bought or homemade caramel sauce
- Flaky sea salt (optional for topping)
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, mix 1 tsp. of kosher salt with 1 cup of water.
- Add the finely chopped Granny Smith apple to the salted water and let it sit for 5 to 10 minutes.
- Strain the apples through a fine-mesh sieve and rinse them under cold water.
- Crush 1 cup of mini pretzels in a resealable plastic bag until fine crumbs form.
- Spread the crushed pretzel crumbs in an even layer on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Microwave the dark chocolate chips in 30-second increments until melted and smooth.
- Spread the melted chocolate over the crushed pretzels, covering them entirely.
- Top with the remaining whole pretzels and finely chopped apples.
- Microwave the caramel sauce until drizzling consistency and drizzle over the bark.
- Sprinkle with flaky sea salt if desired.
- Refrigerate until set, at least 20 minutes.
Notes
Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days at room temperature, or in the fridge for up to a week. Can be frozen for longer storage.
