Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 large loaf of soft white bread
  • 125g unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 cloves of garlic, finely minced
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped

  • Salt, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  3. Cut the loaf of bread in a crisscross pattern, approximately 2 cm apart.
  4. Mix the melted butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, dried oregano, and a pinch of salt in a bowl.
  5. Gently pull apart the sections of bread and drizzle the garlic butter mixture between the cuts and over the bread surface.
  6. Stuff mozzarella and cheddar cheese into the cuts.
  7. Wrap the loaf in aluminum foil and place it on the lined baking tray.
  8. Bake for 15 minutes, then unwrap and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until golden.
  9. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with extra parsley.
  10. Serve warm.

Notes

Leave some space between slices for even melting. Store leftovers wrapped tightly in foil.
