Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9×5 inch loaf pan, greased and ready to hold all that deliciousness.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add in the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined. Then mix in the sour cream and whole milk.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the Christmas sprinkles gently, ensuring even distribution.
- Spread the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the loaf to cool for 5 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Meanwhile, whisk together the powdered sugar, heavy cream, and vanilla extract for the icing.
- Once cooled, generously spread the icing on top and add extra sprinkles if desired.
- Serve at room temperature or slightly warm.
