- Soft salted butter
Instructions
- Bring a pot of water to a gentle boil and softly lower in the eggs. Boil for precisely 8 minutes.
- Transfer the eggs into a bowl of cold water for about 10 minutes to cool.
- Gently tap the base of each egg against a hard surface and peel from the bottom.
- Place the peeled eggs in a bowl, mash them with a fork, then use a potato masher for smoothing.

- Spread soft salted butter on one side of each slice of bread.
- Divide the egg mixture over four slices of bread and top with remaining slices, butter side down.
