  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly spray a 9×13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
  2. Season the chicken pieces with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Set up a breading station with three shallow dishes: one for flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder.
  4. Dredge each piece of chicken in flour, dip in the egg, and coat with the breadcrumb mixture.
