- 2 eggs
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
- 3 green onions, finely sliced
- 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated carrot (optional)
- Vegetable oil, for frying
- Sesame seeds, for garnish
- Optional chili flakes or sriracha for serving
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the cooked jasmine rice, eggs, soy sauce, sesame oil, green onions, and grated carrot (if using). Mix well.
- Form the mixture into small patties about 2-3 inches in diameter.
- Coat each patty in panko breadcrumbs.
- Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat and fry the patties for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden and crispy.
- Remove patties and let them drain on paper towels.
- Sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve immediately; add chili flakes or sriracha for extra heat if desired.
Notes
Consider using low-sodium soy sauce for a healthier alternative. You can freeze any leftovers for later enjoyment.
