Description

Crispy Golden Rice Bites offer a delightful crunch with a warm and fluffy interior, perfect for any gathering or as a nostalgic snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups cooked jasmine rice (cooled)
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
  • 3 green onions, finely sliced
  • 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated carrot (optional)
  • Vegetable oil, for frying
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish
  • Optional chili flakes or sriracha for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the cooked jasmine rice, eggs, soy sauce, sesame oil, green onions, and grated carrot (if using). Mix well.
  2. Form the mixture into small patties about 2-3 inches in diameter.
  3. Coat each patty in panko breadcrumbs.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat and fry the patties for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden and crispy.
  5. Remove patties and let them drain on paper towels.
  6. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve immediately; add chili flakes or sriracha for extra heat if desired.

Notes

Consider using low-sodium soy sauce for a healthier alternative. You can freeze any leftovers for later enjoyment.
