Ingredients

- 1 cup Almond Flour (finely sifted)
- 1.5 cups Powdered Sugar (sifted)
- 3 large Egg Whites (room temperature)
- 0.5 cup Granulated Sugar (added gradually)
- 1/4 teaspoon Cream of Tartar
- 1 teaspoon Red Gel Food Coloring
- 1 stick Unsalted Butter (softened)
- 2–3 tablespoons Milk/Heavy Cream (adjusts consistency)
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
Instructions
- Combine almond flour and powdered sugar in a bowl; whisk to eliminate lumps.
- In a separate bowl, beat egg whites until foamy; gradually add granulated sugar and beat to stiff peaks, adding cream of tartar halfway.
- Fold the almond flour mixture into the egg whites until smooth.
- Pipe small circles on a baking sheet and let them rest for 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C) and bake macarons for 15-18 minutes; let cool completely.
- Beat softened butter until creamy, add powdered sugar gradually, and adjust with milk and vanilla for the buttercream consistency.
- Pair macaron shells, pipe buttercream filling, and decorate with more buttercream.
Notes
Ensure mixing bowls are grease-free and sift both almond flour and powdered sugar for smooth shells.
