- 1 package frozen bread dough
- ¼ cup ground cinnamon
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- ¼ cup salted butter, melted
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons milk
Instructions
- Spray a 9×5 inch loaf pan with baking spray.
- In a bowl, combine granulated sugar and ground cinnamon.
- Place thawed bread dough in a baking dish and make five deep slits in it.
- Brush the inside of the slits with melted butter and sprinkle in one third of the cinnamon sugar mixture.
- Turn the dough over, brush more melted butter, and add another third of the cinnamon sugar mixture.
- Flip the dough one last time, drizzle remaining butter on top, and sprinkle half of the remaining cinnamon sugar.
- Put the dough into the prepared loaf pan and top with the last of the cinnamon sugar.
- Cover with plastic wrap and let it rise for 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 300°F and bake for 40 minutes, rotating halfway through.
- Let cool for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
- For icing, whisk powdered sugar and milk until smooth and pour over warm bread.
Notes
Avoid overbaking to prevent dry bread. Ensure the dough rises properly for the best texture.
