Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish with butter or cooking spray.
- Cube the stale bread into small pieces and place it in the greased baking dish.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt until smooth.
- Pour the custard mixture over the cubed bread and press it down to soak the bread thoroughly.
- Let it sit for about 10-15 minutes to absorb the custard.
- Bake for 45-55 minutes or until golden brown and set in the center.
