- 1 1/2 cups eggnog
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) unflavored gelatin
- 1/4 cup cold water
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups fresh or frozen cranberries
- 1/3 cup orange juice
- 1 tablespoon water
- 2 teaspoons orange zest
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for cranberry sauce)
- 1 1/2 tablespoons dark rum (optional)
Instructions
- Bloom the gelatin by sprinkling it over 1/4 cup of cold water and letting it sit for 5-10 minutes.
- In a saucepan, combine the eggnog and heavy cream, warming it over medium heat until steaming.
- Stir in the granulated sugar and vanilla extract until dissolved.
- Remove from heat and mix in the bloomed gelatin, ensuring it’s fully dissolved.
- Pour the mixture into serving glasses and let it cool slightly before refrigerating for at least 4 hours.
- Prepare the cranberry sauce by combining cranberries, orange juice, water, orange zest, and remaining sugar in a saucepan. Simmer for 10 minutes until syrupy.
- If using, stir in the dark rum and cool the sauce.
- Once panna cotta is set, spoon cranberry sauce over it and garnish if desired.
- Serve and enjoy!

Ensure gelatin is fresh for best results. Allow proper cooling before refrigeration.
