Description

Indulgently rich and chewy cookies filled with chocolate chips and M&Ms, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 and 1/2 cups old-fashioned whole rolled oats
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 2/3 cup packed light or dark brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs, at room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup regular-size M&Ms or 1/3 cup mini M&Ms
  • 1/3 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk the oats, baking soda, and salt together until combined. Set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk the melted butter, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla together until well mixed.
  3. Whisk in the peanut butter until fully combined.
  4. Pour the dry ingredients into the bowl with the wet ingredients and mix until beautifully combined.
  5. Fold in the M&Ms and chocolate chips.
  6. Cover the cookie dough tightly and chill it in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  7. Preheat your oven to 350°F (177°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  8. Scoop generous tablespoons of the dough and place them three inches apart on the baking sheets.
  9. Bake until the edges are set and golden brown, approximately 12-15 minutes.
  10. Let cool for 10 minutes on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

These cookies can be stored at room temperature for up to a week. They freeze well for longer storage.
