Description

Transform the classic French dip sandwich into a delectable roll-up, perfect for sharing and full of flavor.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb thinly sliced roast beef
  • 1.5 cups shredded mozzarella or provolone
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • Salty & pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Lay the tortillas flat and evenly distribute the roast beef and cheese across each tortilla.
  3. Starting from the bottom, roll the tortillas upwards, tucking in the sides as you go.
  4. Mix melted butter, garlic powder, onion powder, and parsley in a bowl, and brush over the rolled tortillas.
  5. Place the rolled tortillas on the baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. In a saucepan, combine beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5-7 minutes.
  7. Remove the roll-ups from the oven, let cool slightly, slice, and serve warm with au jus on the side.

Notes

Ensure all ingredients are halal-certified. For a healthier version, use whole wheat tortillas or leaner cuts of beef.
