Description

A delightful fusion of garlic bread and grilled cheese, offering crispy edges and a gooey center.


Ingredients

  • 4 slices thick-cut bread (sourdough or Italian)
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley (or 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, finely chopped)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated sharp cheddar cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a small mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, and parsley. Season with salt and pepper to taste and mix well.
  2. Preheat your skillet or griddle over medium heat.
  3. Spread a layer of the garlic butter on one side of two bread slices. Place one slice butter-side down in the skillet.
  4. Top with shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheese.
  5. Cover with the second slice of bread, butter-side up. Cook for 3-4 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Carefully flip the sandwich and cook the other side for another 3-4 minutes until crispy and the cheese is melted.
  7. Remove from the skillet, let it rest, then slice and serve hot, optionally with marinara sauce for dipping.

Notes

Use a heavy skillet for even cooking and be generous with garlic butter for extra flavor. Allow the sandwich to rest after cooking for better texture.
