  • 1 teaspoon fine sea salt
  • 1 cup whole or 2% milk (warmed to 110°F)
  • 1 large egg (room temperature)
  • 1 beaten egg (for brushing the tops)
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (for finishing)
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic (for finishing)
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (for finishing)
  • Flaky sea salt (for finishing)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Your Baking Dish: Butter a 9×13 baking pan.
  2. Infuse the Butter: Melt butter with minced garlic over low heat for 1-2 minutes.
  3. Combine Dry Ingredients: Whisk flour, parsley, sugar, yeast, and salt in a bowl.
  4. Knead the Dough: Add warmed milk, egg, and garlic butter to dry ingredients; knead for 10-12 minutes.
  5. Shape the Rolls: Cut dough into 12 pieces, roll into balls, and place in the pan.
  6. Let It Rise: Cover and let rolls rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1-2 hours.
  7. Preheat Your Oven: Preheat to 350°F (180°C).
  8. Prepare for Baking: Brush tops with beaten egg.
  9. Make the Finishing Butter: Mix remaining butter with garlic and parsley.
  10. Brush and Serve: Bake for 20-30 minutes until golden brown, then brush with garlic butter.
