- 4 fillets of white fish (cod, tilapia, or halibut)
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1 small red onion, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons capers, drained
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
- Lemon wedges for serving
Instructions
- Preheat the grill to medium-high temperature.
- Pat the fish fillets dry and brush both sides with olive oil, then season with salt and black pepper.
- Place the fish fillets on the grill and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side until the fish flakes easily.
- While the fish is grilling, heat a tablespoon of olive oil in a small saucepan over medium heat.
- Add the sliced red onions to the saucepan and sauté for 2-3 minutes.
- Stir in the capers and fresh lemon juice, cooking for another minute.
- Taste the sauce and add additional salt and pepper if necessary.
- Once the fish is grilled, transfer it to serving plates.
- Spoon the caper and red onion sauce over the fish and sprinkle with chopped parsley.
- Serve with lemon wedges on the side.
