Description

A quick and easy recipe that brings the flavors of hibachi-style cooking right to your kitchen, with marinated chicken and a creamy mustard sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil for cooking
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Green onions, chopped for garnish
  • Sesame seeds, optional for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine chicken pieces, soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, salt, and pepper. Mix well and let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, honey, and lemon juice until creamy and well combined.
  3. In a large skillet or grill pan, add vegetable oil over medium heat and let it heat up.
  4. Carefully add the marinated chicken to the hot pan and cook for about 6-8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is browned and cooked through.
  5. Reduce the heat and pour a portion of the Magic Mustard Sauce over the chicken. Stir well to combine and let it heat through for an additional 2 minutes.
  6. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
  7. Plate your Hibachi Style Chicken and drizzle with additional Magic Mustard Sauce if desired.

Notes

For a deeper flavor, consider marinating the chicken for a couple of hours or overnight.
