Description

Juicy chicken marinated in a sweet and savory honey garlic sauce, perfect for grilling and sure to please the whole family.


Ingredients

  • 1 ½ pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Wooden skewers soaked in water for at least 30 minutes

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, vegetable oil, apple cider vinegar, minced garlic, grated ginger, and red pepper flakes (if using). Add a pinch of salt and pepper until everything is well combined.
  2. Place the chicken cubes into the marinade, ensuring each piece is generously coated. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or up to 4 hours.
  3. Preheat your grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.
  4. Thread the marinated chicken pieces onto soaked wooden skewers, dividing evenly.
  5. Place the skewers on the preheated grill, cooking for about 5-7 minutes on each side, until fully cooked. Check that the internal temperature has reached 165°F (75°C).
  6. Once done, remove skewers from the grill and allow to rest for a couple of minutes before serving.

Notes

Try using low-sodium soy sauce or a sugar-free syrup to make it healthier. Incorporating vegetables on the skewers can add flavor and nutrition.
