Description

A delightful appetizer combining the tang of dill pickles with rich cheeses and a crispy topping, perfect for gatherings and game days.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup chopped dill pickles
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce (adjust to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup panko bread crumbs
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (for frying)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, and Worcestershire sauce. Beat until smooth.
  3. Add dill pickles, cheddar cheese, parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, hot sauce, and salt and pepper. Mix until evenly incorporated.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and spread it evenly.
  5. In a separate bowl, combine panko bread crumbs with olive oil, stirring until coated.
  6. Sprinkle panko mixture evenly over the dip.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, until top is golden brown and bubbling.
  8. Let cool for a few minutes. Garnish with parsley if desired.
  9. Serve warm with tortilla chips, crackers, or toasted baguette slices.

Notes

For added flavor, consider adding cooked bacon or jalapeños. Can be prepared a day ahead and baked before serving.
