A comforting and creamy pasta dish that combines broccoli and garlic for a delicious family-friendly meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz (225g) pasta of your choice
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups vegetable or chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large pot or deep skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  3. Pour in the vegetable or chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine.
  4. Toss in the pasta, ensuring it is submerged. Bring to a simmer.
  5. Cover and cook until the pasta is almost al dente, about 8-10 minutes.
  6. Stir in the broccoli florets and cook for an additional 4-5 minutes.
  7. Add Parmesan cheese, dried basil, and oregano. Stir until cheese melts.
  8. Remove from heat and let rest for 2-3 minutes before serving.
  9. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve immediately.

Notes

For a lighter version, substitute heavy cream with coconut milk and Parmesan with nutritional yeast.
