- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups vegetable or chicken broth
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil in a large pot or deep skillet over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Pour in the vegetable or chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine.
- Toss in the pasta, ensuring it is submerged. Bring to a simmer.
- Cover and cook until the pasta is almost al dente, about 8-10 minutes.
- Stir in the broccoli florets and cook for an additional 4-5 minutes.
- Add Parmesan cheese, dried basil, and oregano. Stir until cheese melts.
- Remove from heat and let rest for 2-3 minutes before serving.
- Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve immediately.
Notes
For a lighter version, substitute heavy cream with coconut milk and Parmesan with nutritional yeast.
