- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup hot water
- 1/4 cup cold water
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups green cabbage, finely shredded
- 1 cup boiled noodles, chopped
- 1/2 cup carrots, grated
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
- 2 tablespoons green onions, sliced
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Gradually add hot water while stirring until small clumps form.
- Add cold water gradually, mixing until a soft dough forms and knead for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Cover the dough and let it rest for 30 minutes.
- In a separate bowl, mix cabbage, noodles, carrots, soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, green onions, and black pepper.
- Divide dough into balls and roll each into a disc about 4 inches in diameter.
- Place filling in the center of each disc and pleat the edges to seal.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook buns seam side down until golden brown, about 8-10 minutes.
- Add water around buns, cover, and steam for another 8-10 minutes.
- Serve hot with soy sauce for dipping.
Notes
For a healthier option, substitute all-purpose flour with whole wheat flour and use low-sodium soy sauce.
