Ingredients
- Breakfast Sausage
- Pancake Mix
- Whole Milk
- Large Egg
- Vanilla Extract
- Melted Butter
- Maple Syrup
- Ground Cinnamon
- Shredded Cheddar Cheese (optional)
- Cooking Spray
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 190°C (375°F).
- Grease your baking dish with cooking spray.
- Cook breakfast sausage until no pink remains, then drain excess fat.
- In a bowl, combine pancake mix, milk, egg, vanilla extract, melted butter, maple syrup, and ground cinnamon. Whisk until smooth.
- Pour half of the batter into the prepared baking dish.
- Distribute the cooked sausage over the batter.
- Add shredded cheddar cheese, if desired.
- Pour the remaining batter over the sausage and cheese.
- Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow to rest for 5 minutes, cut into squares, and serve with maple syrup.
Notes
