Description

A delightful blend of pancakes and sausage, perfect for breakfast or brunch gatherings.


Ingredients

  • Breakfast Sausage
  • Pancake Mix
  • Whole Milk
  • Large Egg
  • Vanilla Extract
  • Melted Butter
  • Maple Syrup
  • Ground Cinnamon
  • Shredded Cheddar Cheese (optional)
  • Cooking Spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 190°C (375°F).
  2. Grease your baking dish with cooking spray.
  3. Cook breakfast sausage until no pink remains, then drain excess fat.
  4. In a bowl, combine pancake mix, milk, egg, vanilla extract, melted butter, maple syrup, and ground cinnamon. Whisk until smooth.
  5. Pour half of the batter into the prepared baking dish.
  6. Distribute the cooked sausage over the batter.
  7. Add shredded cheddar cheese, if desired.
  8. Pour the remaining batter over the sausage and cheese.
  9. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Allow to rest for 5 minutes, cut into squares, and serve with maple syrup.

Notes

This dish makes wonderful leftovers. Store in airtight containers and freeze for later.
