Description

Delicious flaky crescent rolls filled with a rich, nutty pecan filling that combines the best of pecan pie with an easy-to-make pastry.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can Pillsbury Crescent Rolls
  • 3/4 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup
  • 2 Tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. In a large bowl, combine sugar, corn syrup, melted butter, vanilla extract, and egg until well mixed. Reserve 2 tablespoons for later.
  4. Stir in chopped pecans until well-coated.
  5. Unroll crescent dough and separate into triangles on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Spoon 2 to 3 tablespoons of the pecan mixture onto the widest end of each triangle and roll towards the point.
  7. Bake for 8 minutes, brush with reserved filling, and bake for an additional 5 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before serving warm, optionally garnished with additional pecans.

Notes

Best served warm. Consider drizzling with a powdered sugar glaze or adding mini chocolate chips for variation.
