A delightful treat of soft, buttery dough pieces coated in cinnamon sugar, drizzled with brown sugar sauce, perfect for family gatherings or brunch.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 5 cups Flour
  • 1 tbsp Instant yeast
  • 1/4 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp Kosher salt
  • 2 Eggs
  • 80 g Butter (melted and cooled)
  • 1 1/2 cups Milk (room temperature)
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp Cinnamon
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar (for coating)
  • 115 g Butter (for dipping)
  • 1/2 cup Brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Combine flour, yeast, and granulated sugar in a bowl; mix well.
  2. Add kosher salt and mix briefly.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk eggs, milk, vanilla, and melted butter.
  4. Pour liquid mixture into flour blend; mix on low speed until a rough dough forms.
  5. Increase speed to medium and mix until the dough is smooth and silky (about 8 minutes).
  6. Cover and let dough rise for 1-2 hours or until doubled in size.
  7. Grease a 12-cup bundt pan with softened butter.
  8. Punch down risen dough, then roll out to a 1/4-inch thick rectangle.
  9. Break off small pieces of dough, rolling each into a ball.
  10. Dip each ball into melted butter and then into a cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  11. Place coated balls in the bundt pan until filled.
  12. Cover the pan with a towel and let it rest for 20 minutes.
  13. Mix melted butter with brown sugar; pour over dough balls.
  14. Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 30-40 minutes until golden brown and puffed.
  15. Cool for 5 minutes, then invert onto a plate.

Notes

For best results, use room temperature ingredients and keep an eye on baking time. You can also add nuts or chocolate chips for extra flavor.
