Description

A creamy and flavorful twist on traditional hummus, infused with pumpkin and spices, making it a perfect fall dip.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1 (15-oz.) can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 1/2 cup tahini
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 chipotle pepper in adobo sauce
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon, plus more for garnish
  • 1/2 tsp. paprika, plus more for garnish
  • Kosher salt, to taste
  • 1 tsp. toasted sesame seeds, for garnish
  • Pita chips, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large food processor, combine the pumpkin puree, chickpeas, tahini, apple cider vinegar, olive oil, chipotle pepper, ground cinnamon, paprika, and a generous pinch of salt.
  2. Blend all the ingredients until they transform into a smooth, velvety mixture.
  3. Taste your hummus, adding more salt or spices as necessary.
  4. Spoon your mixture into a bowl and garnish with sesame seeds, paprika, and cinnamon.
  5. Serve with pita chips or fresh veggies.

Notes

For best flavor, allow the hummus to sit for an hour in the fridge before serving.
