- 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar

- 24 oz cream cheese (softened)

- 3 cups peeled and sliced apples

- 1 tsp sea salt (for caramel)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C).
- In a medium bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs, granulated sugar, and melted butter until combined.
- Press the crumb mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan.
- Bake the crust for about 10 minutes until golden brown, then let it cool.
- In a large bowl, combine sliced apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, and flour; toss until well coated.
- Spread the apple mixture evenly over the cooled crust.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and sugar together until smooth.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Mix in the vanilla extract and sour cream until smooth.
- Pour the cheesecake filling over the apple layer.
- Bake the cheesecake for approximately 60-70 minutes until the center is set yet slightly jiggly.
- Allow the cheesecake to cool completely, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- For salted caramel, heat the sugar in a saucepan over medium heat until melted and amber.
- Remove from heat, add unsalted butter, and stir until melted.
- Gradually add heavy cream while stirring until smooth, then stir in sea salt.
- Drizzle the salted caramel over the chilled cheesecake before serving.
Notes
Use a hot knife to cut slices for cleaner cuts. Garnish with chopped nuts or different spices for a unique twist.
