Ingredients

  • 500 g pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • 150 g sliced pepperoni
  • 200 g shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 50 g grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Flour (for dusting)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Lightly flour a clean surface and roll out the pizza dough into a large rectangle, approximately 12×18 inches.
  3. Brush the dough with olive oil and sprinkle with Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Evenly spread sliced pepperoni across the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
  5. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese over the pepperoni layer.
  6. Starting from one long side, tightly roll the dough into a log and pinch the seam to seal.
  7. Slice the roll into 1-inch pieces and place each piece cut-side up on the prepared baking sheet.
  8. Beat an egg with a splash of water to create an egg wash, then brush the tops of the rolls with the mixture.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the rolls are golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
  10. Remove the rolls from the oven and allow them to cool slightly before serving with marinara sauce.

For a healthier option, consider using whole wheat dough or substitute pepperoni with vegetables or lean turkey pepperoni.
