- 4 Chicken Thighs or Breasts
- 2 Tablespoons Jerk Seasoning
- 1 Tablespoon Allspice
- 1 Teaspoon Dried Thyme
- 1 Tablespoon Brown Sugar
- 1 Onion, Sliced
- 2 Garlic Cloves, Minced
- 1/2 Cup Chicken Broth
- Salt and Pepper to Taste
Instructions
- Mix jerk seasoning, allspice, thyme, brown sugar, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
- Rub the spice mixture all over the chicken, massaging it into the meat.
- Layer sliced onions and minced garlic in the slow cooker.
- Place seasoned chicken pieces on top of the onion and garlic.
- Pour in the chicken broth around the chicken.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
- Once cooked, serve with rice and peas.
Notes
For best results, marinate the chicken overnight. Do not overcrowd the slow cooker to ensure even cooking.
