Description

Juicy chicken thighs or breasts marinated in a vibrant blend of spices and slow-cooked to tender perfection.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 Chicken Thighs or Breasts
  • 2 Tablespoons Jerk Seasoning
  • 1 Tablespoon Allspice
  • 1 Teaspoon Dried Thyme
  • 1 Tablespoon Brown Sugar
  • 1 Onion, Sliced
  • 2 Garlic Cloves, Minced
  • 1/2 Cup Chicken Broth
  • Salt and Pepper to Taste

Instructions

  1. Mix jerk seasoning, allspice, thyme, brown sugar, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  2. Rub the spice mixture all over the chicken, massaging it into the meat.
  3. Layer sliced onions and minced garlic in the slow cooker.
  4. Place seasoned chicken pieces on top of the onion and garlic.
  5. Pour in the chicken broth around the chicken.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  7. Once cooked, serve with rice and peas.

Notes

For best results, marinate the chicken overnight. Do not overcrowd the slow cooker to ensure even cooking.
