Description

A savory dish marrying comfort and nostalgia with a creamy texture and crunchy Parmesan-breadcrumb crust.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 packet (1 oz) onion soup mix
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the sour cream and onion soup mix; mix well.
  3. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
  4. Spread the sour cream mixture evenly over each chicken breast.
  5. In another bowl, combine the Parmesan cheese and panko breadcrumbs.
  6. Press the Parmesan-breadcrumb mixture onto the top of each coated chicken breast.
  7. Drizzle the tops with olive oil.
  8. Place the coated chicken into the prepared baking dish.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until cooked through and the crust is golden brown.
  10. Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving.
  11. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve warm.
