Description

An edible centerpiece that combines creamy spinach dip with pull-apart biscuit dough, perfect for festive gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound fresh spinach, cleaned and chopped
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 packages of store-bought refrigerated biscuit dough
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds or poppy seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, over medium heat, add the chopped spinach and wilt for about 3-4 minutes.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper; stir until smooth and creamy.
  4. Fold in the cooled spinach, mixing thoroughly.
  5. Stir in the grated Parmesan and shredded mozzarella until well combined.
  6. Flatten each biscuit slightly and place a tablespoon of the spinach dip mixture in the center. Fold the sides to enclose the filling.
  7. Arrange the biscuit balls on a parchment-lined baking sheet in a Christmas tree shape.
  8. Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame or poppy seeds if desired.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. Allow to cool before serving.

Notes

Ensure cream cheese is softened fully for a smooth mixture. Avoid overcooking the spinach to retain its vibrant color.
