Description
A one-pan wonder combining tender steak strips, garlic, and a sweet, spicy sauce over fettuccine or spaghetti.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound (450g) steak (ribeye or sirloin), cut into thin strips
- 2 tablespoons olive oil, divided
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- Salt to taste
- 8 ounces (225g) pasta of your choice (fettuccine or spaghetti recommended)
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
- Lemon wedges, for serving
Instructions
- Boil the pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente, drain, and set aside.
- Cook the steak: Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Season steak strips with salt and black pepper, cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes, then remove from pan.
- Sauté the garlic: In the same pan, add the remaining olive oil, minced garlic, and crushed red pepper flakes. Sauté until garlic is golden, about 1-2 minutes.
- Create the sauce: Stir in soy sauce and honey, simmer for 1 minute for flavors to meld.
- Combine: Return steak to the pan, tossing in the sauce, then add cooked pasta, mixing until coated.
- Finish with cheese: Sprinkle Parmesan cheese over the pasta, stirring until melted.
- Garnish and serve: Plate the pasta, garnish with parsley, and serve with lemon wedges.
