- 8 oz cream cheese, softened and cubed
- 1 cup half and half
- 1/2 tsp salt

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare the potatoes by peeling and cubing them, then rinsing under cold water.
- Boil the potatoes in salted water until fork-tender, about 10-15 minutes, then drain.
- Return potatoes to the pot on low heat to evaporate excess moisture for about 3 minutes.
- Transfer to a bowl and mash to desired consistency.
- Add warm melted butter, salt, and pepper, then mix in cream cheese until creamy.
- Gradually stir in warm half-and-half; adjust seasoning to taste.
- Spread mixture in a greased 9×13 baking dish.
- Dot with cold butter cubes.
