- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 large eggs, room temperature
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup milk chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a greased loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, sift together cocoa powder, flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk eggs and then stir in sour cream and mashed bananas, followed by sugar and vanilla extract.
- Fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture and gently incorporate the chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the greased loaf pan and sprinkle reserved chocolate chips on top.
- Bake for 55-65 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean with a few chocolate morsels.
- Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container or freeze for up to six months.
