Description

Delightful Twix Cookies combine buttery cookies, gooey caramel, and rich chocolate for a nostalgic treat.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour, plus more for surface
  • 3/4 tsp kosher salt
  • 1 jar (10 ounces) caramel
  • 1 1/2 cups milk chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, beat butter and powdered sugar until creamy. Mix in vanilla extract.
  2. Gradually add flour and salt, mixing until just combined.
  3. Knead the dough until it holds together, form into a disk, wrap in plastic, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  4. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  5. Roll out dough to 1/4 inch thick and cut into rounds, arrange on sheets.
  6. Bake for 12-14 minutes until edges are golden. Cool completely.
  7. Top each cookie with caramel and refrigerate until set.
  8. Melt chocolate chips and spread over caramel, refrigerate until chocolate is set.

Notes

Cookies can be made two days in advance and stored in an airtight container. Freezing is possible for longer storage.
