Description

A quick and nutritious stir fry featuring vibrant broccoli and tender mushrooms, perfect for busy weeknights.


Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1 small onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/4 cup water
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional garnish: sesame seeds and sliced green onions

Instructions

  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  2. Add the sliced onions and sauté for 2-3 minutes until translucent.
  3. Incorporate the minced garlic and sauté for an additional minute.
  4. Add the broccoli florets and pour in the water; cover to steam for 4-5 minutes.
  5. Remove the lid, add the sliced mushrooms, and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes.
  6. Pour in the soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil, stirring to coat all ingredients.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes to meld flavors beautifully.
  9. Remove from heat, garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions, and serve immediately.

Notes

Serve over jasmine rice or quinoa for a complete meal.
