Ingredients

- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms
- 1 small onion, thinly sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/4 cup water
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional garnish: sesame seeds and sliced green onions
Instructions
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- Add the sliced onions and sauté for 2-3 minutes until translucent.
- Incorporate the minced garlic and sauté for an additional minute.
- Add the broccoli florets and pour in the water; cover to steam for 4-5 minutes.
- Remove the lid, add the sliced mushrooms, and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes.
- Pour in the soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil, stirring to coat all ingredients.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes to meld flavors beautifully.
- Remove from heat, garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions, and serve immediately.
Notes
Serve over jasmine rice or quinoa for a complete meal.
