- 1 package (8 count) refrigerated biscuit dough
- 2 large apples, peeled, cored, and diced
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup caramel sauce
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- Additional caramel sauce for drizzling (optional)
- Vanilla ice cream for serving (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, mix together the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon.
- Toss the diced apples with 2 tablespoons of the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
- Separate each piece of refrigerated biscuit dough and flatten it into a disc.
- Add a spoonful of the apple mixture and a drizzle of caramel in the center of each disc.
- Fold the dough over the filling and pinch the edges to seal.
- Roll each ball in the remaining cinnamon-sugar mixture.
- Arrange on the baking sheet and brush the tops with melted butter.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown and puffed.
- Allow to cool slightly, then drizzle with caramel and serve warm with ice cream.
Notes
For healthier alternatives, consider using low-sugar substitutes or whole wheat dough. Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
