Description

A moist, luscious loaf that combines the sweet flavor of ripe bananas with warm cinnamon, perfect for breakfast or dessert.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup softened butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk (room temperature)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for topping)
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare your loaf pan with a light coat of butter.
  2. Cream the softened butter with sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add room-temperature milk and eggs, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Mash the ripe bananas and fold into the mixture.
  5. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
  6. Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  7. Mix together granulated sugar and cinnamon for the topping.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and add the topping.
  9. Bake for about 50-60 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Cool in the pan before transferring to a wire rack.
