Description
A luxurious pasta dish featuring tender steak strips coated in a rich, creamy garlic Parmesan sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz (225g) pasta, such as fettuccine or linguine
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 lb (450g) sirloin steak, cut into strips
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup (240ml) heavy cream
- 1 cup (100g) grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
- Optional: red pepper flakes for heat
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente; drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Season the steak strips with salt and pepper, then add to the skillet. Sauté for 3-4 minutes until browned and cooked to your preferred doneness; remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream and let it gently simmer. Stir in the Parmesan cheese, allowing it to melt and create a smooth sauce.
- Sprinkle in the Italian seasoning and adjust with more salt and pepper if needed.
- Add the cooked pasta and steak back into the skillet. Toss to coat the pasta in the creamy sauce.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley and red pepper flakes if desired.
Notes
For a lighter version, consider using whole wheat or lentil pasta and substituting some heavy cream with Greek yogurt.
