Description

A luxurious pasta dish featuring tender steak strips coated in a rich, creamy garlic Parmesan sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz (225g) pasta, such as fettuccine or linguine
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 lb (450g) sirloin steak, cut into strips
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup (240ml) heavy cream
  • 1 cup (100g) grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • Optional: red pepper flakes for heat

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente; drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Season the steak strips with salt and pepper, then add to the skillet. Sauté for 3-4 minutes until browned and cooked to your preferred doneness; remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream and let it gently simmer. Stir in the Parmesan cheese, allowing it to melt and create a smooth sauce.
  5. Sprinkle in the Italian seasoning and adjust with more salt and pepper if needed.
  6. Add the cooked pasta and steak back into the skillet. Toss to coat the pasta in the creamy sauce.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley and red pepper flakes if desired.

Notes

For a lighter version, consider using whole wheat or lentil pasta and substituting some heavy cream with Greek yogurt.
