- 1 cup water
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko preferred)
- 1 cup buffalo sauce
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Optional: fresh parsley for garnish, celery sticks for serving, ranch or blue cheese dressing for dipping
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, and salt.
- Gradually add water to the dry ingredients while whisking until smooth.
- Dip each cauliflower floret in the batter, letting excess drip off, then coat in breadcrumbs.
- Place coated cauliflower on the baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and crispy, flipping halfway through.
- Heat buffalo sauce in a saucepan until warmed through.
- Toss baked cauliflower in buffalo sauce, then return to the baking sheet.
- Bake for an additional 5-10 minutes to crisp up the coating.
- Serve immediately, garnished with parsley and paired with dipping sauces.
Notes
For extra spiciness, increase the cayenne pepper or use a hot buffalo sauce. Using panko breadcrumbs yields the best crunch.
