- 1/2 cup brown sugar

- 1 large egg

- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 24 soft caramel candies
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Cream together the softened butter, creamy peanut butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy (2-3 minutes).
- Mix in the egg and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Gradually stir in all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt until just combined.
- Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips.
- Take a spoonful of dough, flatten it, place a caramel candy in the center, and wrap the dough around it to seal.
- Place dough balls on the prepared sheets, spacing them 2 inches apart, and bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden.
- Cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For a richer flavor, add a pinch of peanut butter powder. Refrigerating dough for 30 minutes before baking yields chewier cookies.
