A moist and flavorful pumpkin bread topped with rich cream cheese frosting, perfect for any autumn occasion.

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ground ginger
- 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp ground cloves
- 1/4 tsp ground cardamom
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup canned pumpkin puree
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup canola oil
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar
- 8 oz cream cheese
- 4 oz unsalted butter
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 2–3 tbsp milk
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9×5 loaf pan with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda, spices, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together the canola oil, granulated sugar, brown sugar, pumpkin puree, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
- Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
- Bake for 55-65 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool the bread for 10 minutes in the pan, then transfer to a wire rack.
- For the frosting, beat cream cheese and unsalted butter until smooth, then add powdered sugar and enough milk for desired consistency.
- Once cooled, frost the bread and enjoy!
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3-4 days or freeze individual slices for up to 3 months.
