Instructions

  3. Add in the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until fully incorporated.
  4. Pour the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, then add the milk and red food coloring; mix until combined.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips evenly into the mixture.
  6. Chill the dough for at least 1 hour.
  7. Preheat the oven to 350°F (177°C).
  8. Scoop dough onto baking sheets and bake for 11-13 minutes until edges are set.
  9. Allow cooling for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
