Description

Delightful soft cookies with a rich Nutella center, perfect for any sweet occasion.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tbsp red food coloring
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Nutella for filling
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  4. Beat in the egg, food coloring, and vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually blend in the dry ingredients until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Scoop a tablespoon of dough, flatten it, add a teaspoon of Nutella, and wrap the dough around the filling.
  8. Place cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes, until edges are set.
  10. Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes

For an added twist, sprinkle a little sea salt on top before baking.
